Inside the Glass is a hockey analytics platform built by fans, for fans — live rosters, salary-cap tools, an interactive GM sandbox, player analytics, and a league-wide news hub, all in one place. ITG is a Team Honey Badger project.

Where the data comes from

• NHL public API — rosters, schedules, game results, player statistics, and play-by-play data come from the NHL's publicly available data feeds and are refreshed automatically.
• News headlines — the Media Hub aggregates publicly available headlines and always links to the original publisher for the full story. Headlines belong to their respective outlets.
• Contract and salary-cap figures — compiled from public reporting. Cap math (retained salary, buried contracts, dead cap, offer-sheet compensation) is computed by our own models and may differ from official club accounting.

Our models

Expected goals (xG), player archetypes, finishing skill, and the other advanced numbers on ITG are computed by our own in-house models from raw play-by-play data. They're estimates — useful ones, we think — not official statistics.
